Recognition of the accomplishments of local open water swimmers and organisations is a positive endorsement of the growing importance of our sport.

2012:

  • Inducted into the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame – Ned Denison

 2011:

  • ILDSA Award for Best Newcomer (Junior) – Billy Mulcahy
  • ILDSA Margaret Smith Award (individual event organisers who contribute on open water swimming in previous years) – Ned Denison
